EDECS, under his guidance, has delivered projects worth nearly 6 billion EGP, with 2019 revenues expected to exceed 2 billion EGP.

Dr. Mahmoud A. Hassanen is the Vice Chairman of EDECS for Engineering and Contracting, a position he has held since December 2014. With over 36 years of experience in the construction industry, he brings a wealth of expertise in corporate management, business development, and structural engineering. At EDECS, Dr. Hassanen is responsible for the overall management of the company, reporting directly to the Chairman. His responsibilities include representing EDECS in various local, regional, national, and international engagements, preparing and overseeing business development plans, ensuring the efficiency and quality of operations, and developing strategic plans to generate resources and revenues for the company. Under his leadership, EDECS has continued to grow and achieve its strategic objectives, making significant contributions to the engineering and contracting sector.

Dr. Hassanen's extensive educational background includes a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from Loughborough University in the UK, where he studied the behavior of reinforced concrete beams upgraded with externally bonded steel or FRP plates. He also holds a postgraduate certificate in Advanced Academic Studies from the University of Strathclyde, an M.Sc. in Structural Engineering from Ain Shams University, and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the same institution. His career has seen him hold various prestigious positions, including General Manager at NSC New Sharm for Construction Egypt, Deputy Division Head at ECG Engineering Consulting Group, and Managing Director at A&A Engineers and Consultants. Dr. Hassanen is also a member of several professional organizations, such as the Higher Education Academy in the UK and the Egyptian Society of Engineers. His contributions to research and =academia, with over 35 published scientific papers, and his dedication to quality and governance, ensure EDECS remains at the forefront of the industry.

Maj. Gen. Mohamed Abo Heiba currently serves as the Administration & Government Relations Manager at EDECS for Engineering and Contracting, a role he has held since 2020. In this capacity, he oversees the company's administrative functions and maintains vital connections with governmental entities. Reporting directly to the Chairman, he is responsible for streamlining procedures, coordinating with government agencies, and managing organizational changes. Before joining EDECS, Maj. Gen. Mohamed had a distinguished career in the Egyptian Military Intelligence and Armed Forces, spanning over three decades. Born in 1970, he earned a B.Sc. in Military Science from the Egyptian Military Academy and held critical positions such as Commander of the Security Department of the Land Projects Authority and Assistant Chief of the Military Security Agency for Administrative Affairs. His extensive training includes advanced courses in VIP protection, military leadership, negotiation, and cyber security. He has also undertaken international missions in Switzerland, Italy, Ukraine, and the USA, further enhancing his strategic expertise.
