Project Overview
The project Berths 55/62 Tahya Masr multi-purpose Terminal Alexandria in Egypt, led by EDECS, entails the construction of the infrastructure for marine terminals covering a vast stacking yard of 550,000m2, includes the installation of critical utility networks such as storm, Potable water, Sewer, and Firefighting. This involves a robust MV power network spanning 120Km of cables, 3 switchgear, and 16 substations, along with LV power network covering 200Km and a SCADA system with over 9,000 points with 80 Km of Fiber-optics cables, a fire pump station, oil separators, a lifting station, and a water treatment plant. The new container terminal foresees to handle 41,000 TEUs annually and is equipped to utilize Quay Cranes (QCs), electrical Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (eRTGCs), reefer gantry and120 plugs all designed to enhance operational efficiency and ensure the terminal's longevity.
